In school I learned how to spot the words "the", "and" and "see". One of my homework projects is to take any reading material and circle those words. Mama was a little surprised to find me one morning with her book - the fourth in the True Blood series. Not really the best for a four year old, but really, I didn't know the difference. I did ask her if she was reading a Halloween book.
Carefully searching for words.
See! See!
Growing bigger every day --
Hard to believe this was just 15 weeks ago!
I love love love my dada - I give him the biggest smiles.
And I am drooling so much now.
Veggies are back! The farm took a break while they planted their fall harvest, but last week we got our first delivery -- sweet potatoes, eggplant, squash, peppers, radishes, kale and napa cabbage.

Happy Halloween!
Finn went as a (recycled) Tigger.
This was me as Tigger back in '06.
And I went as Wolverine! I only wish Halloween were two days because then I would have dressed as Iron Man the other day. I am all about superheroes right now. Well, and cars, of course.
I did a little yard maintenance while we waited for the sun to go down.
Dada was excited because he got to take me trick or treating this year. Finn stayed home with mama and handed out candy.
For the Noah's Ark Parade at school, I dressed up as a crocodile. We have to be animals for the parade, and mama didn't think my Wolverine costume counted...
Grandma sewed the tail from two years' ago's dragon costume onto this green sweatsuit, mama bought a snout online, and voila, I was a crocodile!
I ran around snapping at all my family members and was warned NOT to do that at school.
Here we come! Next year I might get to hold the sign!
My teacher Ms. Sylvia dressed up as a cow - ha!
Look how tiny I am compared to some of my classmates. As soon as mama and dada think I'm growing so much bigger, they see that I'm really still just a little guy. Mama was a little sad this year realizing that her baby is growing up. Last year, when I saw her, I ran out of the line and to her for a hug. This year I stayed in line the whole time, like a big boy.
Finn came out for the parade too. He was pretty easily entertained.
Carving the pumpkin and sticking the stickers!
And here is the final result! Ta-da!
Every year we go to the pumpkin patch at the church in Katy. I hate that mama made me sit still on this bench for a picture. Doesn't she know I have to go, go, go all the time?
Finn was chilling by the patch.
I wanted to take this pumpkin home, but we couldn't get it in the van. Mama wanted it too, so she could get lots of seeds. Not many seeds in the pumpkins this year, because of the drought.
Me and Finn in the patch. Look at the warty pumpkin!
2010 trip to Dewberry Farm
Here we go again...every year mama takes me to Dewberry Farm, where I race the ducks and look at the farm animals and
we all roast because it is still 100 degrees in October in Texas. Phew, this year was no exception!
Looking at the geese and ducks. Mama needs a haircut!
Riding down the slide with mama. Again, every year she says she won't do that again, and every year I sucker her into doing it again.
I love the bouncy mat - I wish we had one of these at home!
The boys on the pumpkin picking hayride. It was hot, hot, hot!

Happy birthday Ga!
I got to squeeze in some cuddles with Ga before she left for Costa Rica. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more!

Today we did our civic duty...
with spiders on my feet!
Decorating cupcakes with candy corn - tis the season!
Just another day at the beach
Look at my super cool board shorts! Thanks Janet, William, Liam and Logan!
Look at the fish I caught! With my bare hands! Like Mr. Miagee with the chopsticks!
The other day, I asked mama when Finn would be able to play with me. Mama said it would be awhile, so I decided I would play with him!
Finn liked my "vinoculars" (not really)
I generously let Finn borrow my bear, but just for a minute.
Finn wasn't too interested in my yellow monster truck. I wonder what he'll like to play with?
He was not happy in the bucket, but I sure had a good laugh over it!
I celebrated my ten week birthday at the beach. Mama and dada bought me a pack and play for the celebration, both because I love the one I have at the house in Katy (just like my brother loved his when he was small) and because it makes them happy that I love it. Unlike my brother, I love the bear mobile on this pack and play. I talk to the bears in the morning and tell them all my problems. We also share lots of laughs.
I wildly kick my feet, which makes the bears move around.
See my super cute socks/shoes? Thanks Krista and Annabel!
Sweet Finn.
Grandma and Grandpa came into town for a couple days because they couldn't stand to not see me and Finn until Christmas. We lapped up all the attention we could get.
I conned Grandpa into helping me do my homework. The letter was "V" and we colored a vulture, vest and volcano.
Grandma loved holding Finn. He wasn't quite the sleepy head he was last time she was here, but he still lapped up Grandma attention too!
Grandma sure loves her boys! Look, Finn is wearing another outfit from when I was a baby!
