This weekend we travelled to Beaumont to meet baby James. He is the youngest lad in our group, and already is five months! James is very sweet and good natured - Mama doesn't think I was ever that calm. I also got to see the law school ladies and their babes, Kelly (Mom to Hannah), Molly (Mom to James), Stacy (Mom to Jackson), Allison (Mom to Luke) and Barry (hot mama). I had some quality time playing with Luke, since we are only three days apart, but Jackson and Hannah ran circles around us. We all posed for a picture, which is getting increasingly more difficult as we all become more mobile. Can't wait to see you all again soon!

Time for bed. All this playing has me worn out!

I had fun hanging out at my grandparent's house in Beaumont too. I played with Pawpaw on the couch. I also like to stand and balance on a table - look Ma, NO hands. Another favorite activity is drinking from a straw. Grandma says I look like a little bird.

On Sunday, Daddy, Pawpaw and Chris went fishing. Pawpaw caught two big flounder - you can look instead its scary mouth. Everyone but me ate them for lunch. Mama says I'm not ready to eat fish.

Eeewww Daddy, that fish stinks. But can I go fish with you next time anyway? I bet my buddy Luke would like to go too.
Hanging out with Mama.
I finally got to meet Ms. LaRue. She is a special friend of Grandma, Mama and Daddy. She has lots of her own kids and grandkids, but she liked hanging out with me. She says she can't decide who I look like.

I also got to hang out with Grandma's work friends, Amie, Eoline and Nancy. They played with me and called me a little monkey.

Keegan's faux-hawk was in particularly good form after his bath today.

Grandpa sent Keegan "Grandpa's Briefcase", which you can see in the background. It is literally a briefcase filled with "play grandpa stuff", like glasses, candy, and, of all things, a whoopee cushion. Angus had fun playing with the whoopee cushion with Keegan.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I got so many presents, I can hardly stand the excitement. Ma and Daddy bought me new outfits and toys. Grandma gave me books, a bubble blower and this super cool pillow with candy hearts on it because Ma won't let me eat candy yet. And what else? Yep, I finally cut a tooth. If you blow up the picture really, really big, you can just barely see the ridges of the tooth on the left side of my mouth. Ma, Daddy, and Grandma all felt my tooth and Grandma heard it click on the spoon as I ate my new favorite veggie, sweet potatoes. Overall though, this teething thing is no fun. I went to bed early and only ate 2 ozs of formula, so Ma figures she'll be up with me in a few short hours.

Hanging out with Grandma and Mac. Three little monkeys...

My daddy and I took mama out for ice cream on Saturday night. We had to wear our hoodies because it was cold. I also wore my Justin boots, which ma keeps squeezing my feet into because she thinks they are cool. Really, red boots are pretty cool.

I love you daddy. You're my best friend!

For my seven month birthday, Ma cut out of work a bit early and took me to the playground to swing.

I could get really into this swinging thing.

Playing with the sun spots...if I could only catch them...

Just chillin' in my new spider man sunglasses and chewin' on the remote. What a cool life I live.

In the vein of "better late than never", I am posting pics from a 40 mile bikeride Angus and I did last Sunday with Al and Matt Byman and Justin. It is called the Frost Ride - and it lived up to it's name. At the start, it was 36 degrees with winds blowing 15 to 20 degrees out of the north. Of course, the first 20 miles were mostly going north, so we froze our patooties off. Our hands were so cold and our feet numb, but the whole group finished with bells on, eventually. This is the torture we put ourselves through so that we can (kind of) enjoy the MS150 ride in April. It least it will be 50 degrees warmer, if not more, then!

Justin looking snazzy in his new jersey. Not sure anyone BUT Justin could rock this one.

Al and I checking the map to see just how much longer the ride is....at this point, we were over half way, but still a long way to go.

Angus sailing through the finish line. Whoo-hoo!

FAHP crossing the finish line! Now it's time to eat.

Mom tried a new veggie - carrots. My buddy Liam loves these things, but I'm not so sure. I spat most of them out - blah!

OK, enough already!

So, back to rice cereal. Still messy, messy, messy! Even in my eyelashes.

Aunt Peggy sent me a new gift today - a highchair! Mom thought it might be a lot of work for a Thursday night, but she worked through it and believe it or not, got the highchair together and me in it for a quick rice cereal bite before bed. I watched intently from afar. (note - I can now push myself backwards in the crawling position, just not forwards)

Who's stylin' now? This highchair even has lights to keep me occupied while mom makes my complicated dishes. Thanks Peggy - I love it!

Just because I'm in my new cool highchair doesn't mean that I won't make a mess! Mom, this is what bibs are for...

Today we went to Allison, Matt and Luke's house so the grown-ups could ride bikes. Allison's friends babysat us. We had fun playing with Luke's toys - and you thought I had a lot of toys. I checked out Luke's pooper-saucer, and yes, it works like magic too.

Luke had a walker and he showed me how he "gets around." It was pretty cool to see him go.

Tonight Ma fed me apples for the first time. Grandma found organic apples at HEB and cooked them all afternoon to make them soft and mushy. They sure taste better than that rice stuff.

Kiss me, I'm Irish. And I have a shamrock on my bum. Note, you can also kind of see where I've rubbed off all the hair on the back of my head with the crawfish crawl. Yes, for those who are wondering, I'm still crawling on my back.

My new favorite treat is to gnaw on a celery stick. Mom is also trying white rice cereal now instead of brown since the brown didn't agree with me AT ALL. If all goes well with white rice, next week we're starting a veggie or fruit, to be decided. Any suggestions?

My Grandma is the coolest. Today she took me to Academy to meet some of the Astros. I even got to meet Mike Lamb. He's my new favorite. Grandma still likes Lance Berkman, but I'm going to cheer for Mike Lamb.

I even got to hang out with Junction Jack while we were waiting in line. I was very intrigued by the big bunny.

See my Astros jersey...

Four Astros signed it, with me in it! I was so excited when Mike Lamb signed it (all the way to the left), I almost leapt out of Grandma's arms. This jersey's a keeper! I'm never letting Ma wash it again.

Thank you for my new blocks Grandma! There are so many of them I can hardly stand it.

Way to go Chicago Bears! It's time to do the Superbowl Shuffle.

Today we went to visit Liam, Tess and Christian, and meet baby Lawrence. He's only 3 months old, so I wasn't the BABY this time. It was fun to see various stages of "kid." Liam is 19 months. He can walk and even talk some. Momma can't wait to hear what I have to say.

Liam and Tess. Adorable.

Baby Lawrence achieving total zen.
