Keegan looks like he's trying to make a move on Anna, who is looking at Keegan like don't even try it buddy. Anna can be picky - she has lots of dates for the prom already!  Posted by Picasa

Our doula Nadia Stein came by for a visit on Sunday. She lulled Keegan to sleep just like she calmed me down during labor. Nadia has serious skills. I would recommend her to anyone that is interested in using a doula for their birth - a doula provides physical and emotional support to a woman before, during and after childbirth. I credit Nadia for helping me to have the type of birth that I wanted for Keegan.  Posted by Picasa

Eskimo Liam and his family, mom Janet, grandma Lori and brother Logan, came by for a delicious dinner cooked by Grandma Ellie. Logan, Marianne and Brenden stirred things up while the baby boys played downstairs.  Posted by Picasa

Baby Liam when uncovered. Look how tiny those little feet are! You just want to gobble them up.  Posted by Picasa

Lori can't wait to get Keegan down to the beach to play with the other boys. It's going to be fun in the sun.  Posted by Picasa

The wild children - Brenden, Logan (Janet's son) and Marianne - eating cake. Farrell's house is fun.  Posted by Picasa

The kids looking very cute and serene. Not for long... Posted by Picasa

Hey! Watch it Keegan! You're going to rip off Marianne's finger! What fun. Posted by Picasa

Marianne and Keegan cuddling on the couch. She says it is so exciting to hold her first cousin.  Posted by Picasa

First parent's night out! Peggy, Marv, Kevin, Ashley and Max Conway graciously volunteered to babysit Keegan tonight so that Angus and I could go out for a date. It was absolutely wonderful. The books all say wait for six weeks before leaving the kid, and today is Keegan's six week birthday - we didn't waste any time. We went to Alamo Drafthouse to see Pirates of the Carribbean (we had intended to see it the weekend Keegan was born, but obviously those plans were cancelled). We ate well, I had a glass of wine, Angus a beer or two, and we both had dessert. Best of all, we were completely at ease that Keegan was in good hands at the Conways. And the bonus? The picture above shows Angus feeding Keegan the rest of the bottle of pumped milk that we left the Conways to use in my absence. So, Angus even got to feed Keegan today, where I've always had to do it before. What a great night! Thanks again to the Conway family. You guys are super stars! Posted by Picasa

Have I told you my mom is crazy? All these crazy faces she makes trying to get me to smile.  Posted by Picasa

Who's the man? I'm the man! Also, note my "half-smile." I'm not giving up a full smile yet, but I'm starting to try.  Posted by Picasa

Cozy in the boppy. What did people do before the boppy? Posted by Picasa

Keegan reading his first book, a very cool gift from Great Aunt Linda and Uncle Alan. As the name implies, there are white objects on a black background - a bird, flower, buttons, teddy bear. Keegan's favorite seemed to be the sailboat.  Posted by Picasa

Mom! Did you see this picture? Posted by Picasa

Happy little reader.  Posted by Picasa

After the Astros game, we headed to Crystal Beach for a couple nights to visit with our family from Canada that was visiting for a couple days, Aunt Lorraine, Maribeth and Jessice. Aunt Lorraine has 11 kids, and 25 grandchildren, and she lent her experienced hands in keeping Keegan calm. In this picture, Maribeth took at turn with Keegan. She lulled him to sleep easily.  Posted by Picasa

Aunt Brigid enjoyed holding Keegan when he wasn't fussy. Doesn't it seem like it was just yesterday you were holding Marianne and Brendan? Posted by Picasa

Cousin Brendan took a turn with the diaper duty. He did such a good job we asked him to come to Katy for a visit next week! Posted by Picasa

Aunt Lorraine sewed a blanket for Keegan. It is really sweet. The duck in the middle of the blanket can be removed from under the mother's wing so that Keegan can tote it around with him.  Posted by Picasa

Keegan's first Astros game, and apparently our first family photo since his birth. We are all decked out in Astros gear, even Keegan.  Posted by Picasa

The Astros didn't win, but at least Keegan got to see Lance Berkman score a home run.  Posted by Picasa

Grandma and Keegan at the Astros game. Keegan really enjoyed all the noise.  Posted by Picasa

Mac with Keegan's toys. He's getting pretty good at stealing them. I'm sure Keegan doesn't mind sharing.  Posted by Picasa

Mac left room for someone to sit with him. Any takers? Posted by Picasa
