My excellent Aunt Nora (she says "Great Aunt" makes her feel old, and she's the baby-girl of the family, so she can't be old) came all the way from Prince Edward Island to visit. That's where Ga is from. Aunt Nora has two grandbabies, so she knows how to give me some serious love. I can't wait to go to PEI to play with Tanner and Peyton in a couple years.

We went to Crystal Beach this weekend to celebrate Easter with Ga, Pawpaw, and Aunt Nora. Daddy and I picked up Mama from work on Friday and hit the road.
We drove all the way to Galveston, and got out on the ferry so that we could get a little sun.
Mama and I watched those crazy seagulls fly all over the place. Luckily, there were no "incidents."

Here we are, arriving at the beach. Hey Ga! Too bad this was pretty much the end of the sun for the weekend. Texas had a (maybe) record cold, rainy weekend for Easter. I brought all my beach toys and my special swimming diapers, and never even set foot in the sand. Maybe next time...

Instead of going to the beach, I climbed up the stairs, and down the stairs, and up the stairs, and down the stairs, and up...you get the idea. What fun, for me.

The Easter Bunny found me all the way at the beach! Yeah, me! He brought me a book that plays "Here Comes Peter Cottontail." Ga and Mama sure sound funny singing it all the time. He also brought me Astros socks so that I have all the right gear to cheer on my favorite team - maybe they'll win, someday.

For those who've asked, the garden is growing, by leaps and bounds. The beans are up, and we're starting to take suggestions on what to do with all those beans - spicy beans for bloody marys, vinegar beans with red onion, plain old steamed green beans. Oh the beans. You can also see that our lemon tree has lots of flowers, so we're hoping for a bumper crop of the yellow goodness. Green onions in the miracle box, and lots of radishes too. Oh the veggies we'll eat.

Ms. Ellie, you are the best nanny ever. Thanks for the "appetizer" cocktail tonight. I'll share the recipe for the Jealous Mary:
1 English cucumber, chopped
1/4 cup chopped celery
juice from a lemon, about 2 tablespoons
1/2 tablespoon bottled horseradish
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Bit of ground pepper
Drop or two of Tabasco
3 ounces vodka

I love to drink through a straw. Thanks, Christin, for my Keegan onesie!
I prefer to stand outside of the exersaucer. Thanks to Don-ya Martha for my cozy outfit.

For mama's thirty second birthday, she wanted a garden. And she got a garden...a BIG garden.
Pawpaw had 3 cubic yards of soil delivered. A big truck came and dumped all the dirt on our driveway. So, mama and pawpaw grabbed a shovel and wheelbarrow and moved all that dirt into the backyard.

They piled the dirt up high...

Gaga surveyed the work to make sure the garden would grow. When she was satisfied, she added in the plants she grew up from seeds in the guest bedroom for the past month. Ga's precious plants.

Mama added in some marigolds, which are supposed to help keep the bugs away from the 67 tomato plants. She didn't raise them from seed - she bought them at Home Depot. We'll keep you posted on the pest situation.

I tried to eat the marigolds, but ma caught me just in time.

After the marigold incident, I was relegated to the garage...no fun! It was also a little more out of the sun, which is important for my skin.

Mama was Pawpaw's apprentice for the day. They worked hard laying brick all around the garden to keep the soil from washing out.

Finally! Taaaa-dahhh...our family garden. Mostly tomatoes, with lots of green beans, cucumbers, various peppers, eggplant, squash, watermelon etc. We are going to eat good this summer. Who wants to come down for gazpacho? And does anyone have any suggestions for covering up that nasty utility box? What an eyesore!

On Sunday afternoon (after mama and daddy got done riding 50 miles in prep for the MS150), we went to the Conway's house to enjoy the beautiful Texas weather. The Howells were visiting too, so we got to hang out with all the TaeKwonDo folk and their kids. It was a busy place, and lots of fun.

Everyone was surprised at how much I've grown. Now I can stand at a table and play with toys instead of just laying down all the time.
Sweet Peggy. She just loves to squeeze on me and give me kisses and hugs. I love hanging out with her. Don't worry Peggy - I'll come back soon to visit!
The men were just chillin' by the pool side drinking some brewskis. Some day I can hang out with them.

Michelle and Sasha helped me to kick my first Superman soccer ball, and really, this may become my career in life. Watch out Pele. Rhys brought me the ball, Sasha lined it up just so, and Michelle helped me to kick my legs. And I gave them super big belly laughs in return. It won't be long at all before I can fit into the awesome soccer cleats they gave me when I was born.

Sasha and Ashley played ball with me too. I love going to the Conway's.

Daddy's been feeding me veggie bites. We make mama very proud.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
I wore my new green shirt from Gaga. It says "Big Horn", just like my Pawpaw's truck.

Well dressed, right down to the finery...Tis Himself.
Maybe it's the green shirt, maybe it's the Irish spirit, or maybe Grandma finally wished hard enough for A RED HEADED GRANDSON!!!
